What is Surion?
Surion is a native macOS app for generating, editing and previewing websites locally. It combines a focused code workspace with visual inspection and optional AI assistance.
Is Surion really free?
Yes. The base experience includes unlimited local generation and editing, supported local models, one user-supplied API service of your choice, the code editor, live inspector and live preview.
What does local-first mean?
Your projects live on your Mac and the core workflow does not require Surion AI. You choose when to use a local model, your own API provider or Surion's optional cloud AI.
What is Surion AI?
Surion AI is Surion’s own, highly capable AI model for website creation and editing. It understands your project as a complete system, from structure and styling to responsive behavior, and can generate stunning, polished websites that are ready to customize and deploy.
What is Visual Symmetry?
Visual Symmetry lets Plus, Pro and Studio users upload a screenshot, hand-drawn draft, image or PDF and have Surion AI generate a website or make visual edits from that reference.
What are Surion’s system requirements?
Surion is compatible with macOS 26 or later and requires an M1 or newer Apple silicon Mac with at least 8GB of RAM. For Surion AI or online APIs, that 8GB configuration is recommended and sufficient. For local models, 16GB is the minimum recommended configuration, while 32GB or more is recommended for larger, more capable models and higher-quality results. Smaller local models can generate websites on an 8GB Mac, but their output may be less polished and lower quality.
